You will bike along the west zone of the Volcano Etna, crossing the main important mounain villages.

Itinerary

1-Start from Nicolosi, a sweet mountain village

2-You will cross Adrano, where you can admire some attractions:
-Norman Castle,
-”Simeto Gorges” and the old
-”Saracen Bridge”

3-Bike until Bronte and visit its unique historical center and the Pistachio Groves

4-Other step is Maniace, the famous site of castle of admiral Oratio Nelson

5-The final step include a visit to the medieval village of Randazzo

Level
High, because the long distances

Slope
You will encounter not very high height difference (about 50-100 metres), becasue will start from a high point as Nicolosi at 700m sl, and you will arrive to Randazzo at 770 msl.
The other villages are on the same height.

Period
It is better doing this trip on spring.
Don’t choose summer becasue Sicily has a very hot temperature
But winter ins’t good too, because at that height the weather is very cold and full of snow, causing hard diffucult for biking
